Mind Mapping Activites

Minggu ini adalah masih minggu Tuning-in. Dalam kurikulum integrated, Tuning in berarti mengaktifkan prior knowledge siswa terhadap suatu theme yang akan diajarkan. Tahapan ini penting karena guru bisa mengukur seberapa jauh pengetahuan anak terhadap suatu materi yang akan diajarkan.
Ada beberapa contoh aktifitas mengajar dalam tahapan tuning-in. misalnya; Bundling, Visualitation dan banyak lagi yang nanti saya akan share juga. Yang saya lakukan hari ini adalah Mind Mapping. Suatu pemetaan pemikiran, yang itu mungkin terminologi asal-asalan saja.Tapi yang pasti mind mapping itu aktifitas yang cukup baik untuk mengetahui hal apa saja yang sudah diketahui siswa dan hal apa saja yang miss.

 Gambar diatas adalah contoh kegiatan Mind mapping

caranya :- 

• bagi kelas kedalam 4 kelompok 
•  berikan satu 1/2 karton kepada setiap kelompok 
• berikan satu kata yang akan diajarkan misalnya, " Kebersihan" 
• berikan contoh gambar mind mapping seperi gambar diatas untuk menstimulus siswa, 
• Presentasikan hasil mind mapping kelompok didepan kelas.

Kegiatan Mind Mapping ini juga bisa dilakukan setelah akhir tema. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang sudah diajarkan.

Welcome back to school

Holidays is over.. Students will come school as well. They will come with the joyful and good memories from holiday they might have with their lovely family. Hence the first day of school is always challenging for teacher. How can the teacher create the situation that doesn't kill their memories. let's say, the mild-activities.. I have some below.

1. Hi, My friend 
 This activity is to make the students talk with their friends again after long holiday. The students go around the class to find some students that meet with the criteria written in each box.

Go around the class; find your friend who did thing in the box. Put their sign on the bracket.

My name is S (………….)	I was born on December (………….)	I went to Bandung this holiday. (………….)	I’m the only one child. (………….)	I don’t like Maths.  (………….)
I have watched frozen the movie already. (………….)	I have pet at home. (………….)	I was born on Thursday (………….)	I can sing Justin Bieber song. (………….)	I can make some riddles (………….)

2. My Promise 

It's like you got  some misbehavior issues from the students last semester ( I did), this first day activities will help you. They will write their promise on the paper and they can put some cool decoration, nice font on it. Post it on the wall to make them aware that they have promised.
